Why Pride Learning Center?

Reading is a vital skill that all children need to master. There is no other skill a child will learn that will have a greater impact throughout their life. At Pride Learning Center we know that not all students learn alike. We realize that our students do not need more of the same instruction they are receiving at school. Our program offers a different approach. One that helps Pride students eventually close the reading gap.

Pride ensures that every student has the skills and the confidence to succeed in and out of the classroom.

What is Orton-Gillingham Multisensory Instruction?

In Orton-Gillingham lessons, the teacher accesses the auditory, visual, and kinesthetic pathways in order to enhance memory and learning.

Tutoring for Dyslexic students. Dyslexia is a specific learning disability that is neurological in origin and primarily affects ones ability to learn to read. Dyslexia is characterized by difficulties with accurate and fluent word recognition and by poor spelling and decoding abilities. Dyslexia varies in degrees of severity and is highly hereditary. It is not uncommon for a child with dyslexia to have an immediate family member who also has this condition. Also, it is not unusual for two or more children in a family to have dyslexia.
